Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program Services Available

As authorized in 1995, the Kern County Network for Children serves as the administrative agent for Kern County’s Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) Program. The following is a brief summary of the Federal Fiscal Year 2002-2003 Promoting Safe and Stable Families services available to Kern communities, as well as the name and telephone number of the key contact for each program.   • Works in close partnership with Child Protective Services to assist families whose children have been removed from the home due to abuse and/or neglect with completing court-ordered services so that the children may safely return. Case management, guided visitation, and education services are key components.
