Kern County Group Home Coalition
Formed in 2003, the Group Home Coalition's mission is to unify and meet the needs of Kern County youth through a collaborative effort of group home providers and community resources. The Group Home Coalition of Kern is comprised of local group home administrators, and representatives from Kern County Department of Human Services, Kern County Superintendent of Schools, Foster Youth Services, Kern County Probation Department, Kern High School District, California Care and Licensing, Kern County Mental Health and various other community agencies. The goal of the Group Home Coalition is to provide an open forum for local group homes to network, share ideas, concerns and successes and promote better outcomes for group home foster youth.
