Location: Beach Park, Bakersfield, CA
Join the thousands and thousands of people who are participating in 5k walks across America in support of over 513,000 children in foster care. Experience the power of people united by a single purpose by joining the Walk Me Home...to the place I belong. Start a family, business, school, or agency team today! Together National Foster Parent Association and the Caregivers of Kern County have formed a powerful team to support children who, through no fault of their own, have had to be placed outside of their home. Foster parents provide a safe and loving environment that provides stability for these children for perhaps the first time in their life. Help us support foster children and foster families throughout Kern County by joining us at Beach Park for Walk Me Home...to the place I belong on September 18, 2010. This event brings positive awareness to foster care. It can also be a fundraiser for all teams that participate. Each team can designate 35% of the sponsorship funds that their walkers collect to the organization of their choice. For more information please go to our website or www.walkmehome.org
