Brief Biography
With a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Idaho State University and a master's from the University of Alabama, Cooley has spent more than 25 years working with children and families, helping them find their strengths and achieve stability. She has worked in numerous positions, including child protective services, director of the YWCA, on the faculty of a junior college and a university, as coordinator of prenatal and family planning, Lamaze instructor, sex educator, health care administrator and consultant.

Agency Description
KCAPC/Haven Counseling Center educates, advocates and treats children and families at risk for child neglect and abuse. Staff at the center also develop and participate in community awareness and education efforts to reduce the incidence of child maltreatment.
