Kern County Network for Children serves many functions benefiting children and families in Kern County. We are currently responsible for the following key projects:
Administrative and fiscal agent for Kern County's Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) program, including the development of Differential Response in specific Family Resource Centers.
Administrative and fiscal agent for Kern County's Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment (CAPIT) program.
Administrative and fiscal agent for Kern County's Community Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) grant and the county's Children's Trust Fund.
Development and coordination body responsible for Kern's Social Conditions GIS Mapping project.
Host of Kern County's Leadership Development program.
Coordination body of intra-agency projects, including Kern's Wraparound Services program for youth.
Training provider for county agencies, schools, and community-based organizations.
Administrative home of Get Moving Kern, a project funded by The California Endowment to address obesity prevention in Kern County.
Lead coordination body of integrated services to children and families of Kern County. Improved service integration is the primary goal of all KCNC's policy-related activities including:
